Outsourced accounting for companies operating in Morocco

Moroccan companies must keep their books in accordance with Law 9-88 on the accounting obligations of traders and with the General Accounting Standards Code (Code Général de Normalisation Comptable, CGNC). Only a chartered accountant registered with the Order is authorised to keep, review and certify the accounts of a third party in Morocco.

We take on the full accounting function — or supervise the work of your in-house team — so that your statutory obligations are met and your management has reliable figures to work from.

Our accounting services

Bookkeeping and account review

Monthly, quarterly or annual bookkeeping, chart of accounts adapted to your activity, mandatory journals and inventory ledger, bank reconciliations, and supervision engagements where your team handles data entry and we perform the review.

Annual financial statements

Preparation of the statutory financial statements under the CGNC — balance sheet, profit and loss account (CPC), statement of management balances (ESG), cash flow statement and the ETIC notes — together with the annual tax package (liasse fiscale).

Interim reporting

Monthly or quarterly management accounts for your board, your banks or your shareholders, with the key performance indicators that matter for your business.

Group reporting under IFRS and US GAAP

For subsidiaries of international groups, we produce both sets of figures: statutory accounts under Moroccan standards for local filing, and the restated reporting package your parent company requires. We work to group deadlines and speak directly with your headquarters and your group auditors, in English or in French.

Catch-up and remediation engagements

Where bookkeeping has fallen behind, we reconstruct the accounting records, perform the reconciliations, file corrective returns and bring the financial statements back into order — while limiting penalties as far as the rules allow.

Electronic filing and payment

We handle your filings through the Moroccan tax administration portal (SIMPL) and the social security portal (DAMANCOM), so that deadlines are met without your team having to manage the platforms.

Setting up a company in Morocco

We assist investors from incorporation onwards: choosing the legal form, drafting the constitutive documents with our legal team, registering with the tax administration and the social security fund, and setting up the accounting and payroll function from day one. Companies established in Industrial Acceleration Zones and service companies engaged in offshoring benefit from specific tax regimes — we review eligibility before you commit to a structure.

Why outsource your accounting to a registered firm

  • Regulated status. Only a chartered accountant registered with the Moroccan Order may keep, review and certify third-party accounts. You benefit from professional indemnity cover and professional secrecy.
  • Audit-ready records. Accounting records that cannot be relied upon expose a company to rejection of its books and to assessment on an estimated basis during a tax audit. Our engagements are built to withstand that scrutiny.
  • One firm across disciplines. Accounting, tax, corporate law and payroll handled together, with one point of contact.
  • Tangier and the northern region. Free zones, automotive and textile manufacturing, port logistics and offshoring — the sectors we work with every day.

Frequently asked questions

What are the accounting obligations of a company in Morocco?

Every commercial company must keep proper accounting records in accordance with Law 9-88 and the CGNC, and prepare annual financial statements. Records that are not probative expose the company to rejection of its accounts and to assessment on an estimated basis in the event of a tax audit.

Our bookkeeping is behind. Can you bring it up to date?

Yes. We carry out catch-up engagements: reconstruction of entries, bank reconciliations, corrective filings and restatement of the financial statements.

Can you produce IFRS figures for our parent company?

Yes. We produce statutory accounts under Moroccan standards alongside an IFRS or US GAAP reporting package, and we liaise directly with your group finance team and auditors.

How are your fees determined?

Fees depend on transaction volume, reporting frequency and any related engagements such as payroll or tax. We issue a written engagement letter before starting. Request a proposal.

Do you also audit accounts?

We provide statutory audit services, but not for the same company whose books we keep — independence rules prevent it.
