Increase of the SMIG and SMAG 2022 in Morocco
The legal minimum wage (SMIG) for one hour of work will increase from 14.81 DH/hour to 15.55 DH/hour, i.e. a wage of 2,970 DH Gross as of September 2022, and from 15.55 DH/hour to 16.29 DH/hour, i.e. a wage of 3,111 DH Gross as of September 2023 Similarly, the legal minimum wage for a day’s work in the agricultural sector will be 84.37 DH/day instead of 76.70 DH/day, starting in September 2022. Then, from September 2023, it will be 88.58 DH/day instead of 84.37 DH/day.
For the public sector, the minimum wage would increase from MAD 3,000 to MAD 3,500 net per month.
