” TAECHIR ” an online visa service for foreigners’ employment contracts (CTE):
As of June 1, 2017, only files for CTE visa applications submitted via the “TAECHIR” website will be accepted.
The Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs has just made available to employers (requiring foreign skills) and to users the online service “TAECHIR” dedicated to the management of visa applications for foreigners’ employment contracts (ETC).
This new service allows users to find out about the procedures for applying for a CTE visa, visa applications for work contracts for foreigners and have them validated, print the work contracts to be submitted to the Administration for visa, edit the list of documents constituting the CTE visa application file, monitor the processing of CTE visa applications submitted to the Administration, receive, in real time, notifications related to the processing of CTE visa applications (Contract approved, Visa ready, request to be completed,…), and obtain the administration’s response to visa requests made within a maximum of 10 days.
Good to know:
The hiring of a foreign employee can only be done after the approval of the government authority in charge of the work on the written contract according to the model established by the authority (article 516 and following of the code).
It should be noted that Senegalese, Algerian and Tunisian employees are considered Moroccan nationals in terms of employment and they can work in Morocco without the approval of the Ministry of Employment, i.e. without completing the formalities of TAECHIR and this , according to the provisions of multilateral or bilateral international conventions published in accordance with the law, relating to the employment of foreign employees in Morocco.
